Mindcoach

Privacy Policy

This page is the official Mindcoach Privacy Policy for users and for app store review purposes.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

1. Who we are

Mindcoach is a habit, journaling, and personal development app. This page explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can request deletion.

Contact: support@mindcoach.de

2. Data we collect

  • Account data such as email address, password hash, and sign-in identifiers from Google or Apple.
  • Profile data such as name, language, country, age, birth date, and gender when you provide it.
  • App content you create, including habits, bad habits, goals, journal entries, weekly reflections, reminders, feedback, and progress data.
  • Technical data such as authentication tokens, push notification token, device-related notification settings, and app activity records needed to run the service.
  • Subscription and purchase verification data needed to validate in-app purchases and subscription status.
  • Advertising-related data that may be processed by Google Mobile Ads if ads are shown in the app.

3. How we use data

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To provide app features, sync your progress, and restore your data across devices.
  • To send reminders, notifications, and account-related messages based on your settings.
  • To manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and improve app reliability.
  • To respond to support requests and feedback.

4. How long we retain data

  • Account, profile, habits, goals, journals, reflections, and progress data are retained while your account remains active.
  • If you request account deletion, we aim to delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.
  • Subscription and transaction records may be retained for up to 10 years where required by tax, accounting, or app-store compliance obligations.
  • Authentication and reset tokens are kept only for the period needed for login, session management, or password recovery, then they expire or are removed.
  • Local cached data stored on your device is retained until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

If you uninstall the app without requesting account deletion, data stored on our backend may still be retained until your account is deleted.

5. How users can request deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@mindcoach.de from the email address linked to your Mindcoach account, or include that email address in your message.

After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize the account data associated with you, except information we must keep for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

Deleting your account removes server-side data such as your profile, habits, goals, journals, reflections, and progress history. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete server-side account data.

6. Sharing and third parties

  • Google or Apple may process sign-in data when you use their authentication services.
  • Apple App Store or Google Play may process subscription and payment data for in-app purchases.
  • Google Mobile Ads may process advertising-related data if ads are displayed.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

7. Your choices

  • You can update some profile, notification, and preference data inside the app.
  • You can stop using the app at any time and uninstall it from your device.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

8. Children

Mindcoach is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use the service without parental consent.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
